Uniform

Every student who enrols at Te Puke High School agrees to wear the full uniform correctly. To maintain the high standards set at Te Puke High School all students are expected to be well presented and to always wear their uniform with pride. Correct school uniform must be worn on the way to and from school each day. Regulation school uniforms or sports uniforms must be worn when travelling. Te Puke High School will take whatever steps necessary to ensure the uniform is worn correctly.

The official uniform approved by the Te Puke High School Board of Trustees is as follows:

All Students (Year 9 to Year 13)

Girls

Footwear
Plain black leather Roman sandals.
OR
Plain black shoes. Shoes must be below the ankle bone (fibula), completely black and carry no coloured labels. Platform shoes and boots are not acceptable.  Parents/caregivers are advised to view the list of approved shoes available at the reception.
For health reasons, students are advised to wear sandals in the summer months and covered in shoes in winter months.

Boys

Footwear

A formal dress uniform is available for Year 13 students to wear as an option to the normal school uniform.  In addition, groups representing the school may also be required to wear dress uniform.

 Jewellery

A wrist watch.
Students who have their ears pierced are permitted to wear one small plain stud or standard 10 mm gold or silver sleeper earring in each ear.
No other jewellery is permitted, including facial studs.
Religious and cultural dispensations must be approved by the Principal.

Appearance

Hair must be a natural hair colour for the student.
Tattoos must not be visible.
A high standard of personal hygiene is expected.
Nail polish must be a natural colour.
Male students must be clean-shaven.

Alternatively uniform samples are available to try on at the School Reception from 3:30-4pm Thursdays during term time. Orders for uniform will be taken at this time and forwarded to Active Schoolwear who will then courier the items to the school for pick up by the student. Items must be paid for by cash, credit card or eftpos at the time of order. 
Uniforms that have been ordered and pre-paid are now available for collection at the School Reception.
