Why Choose the Bay of Plenty and Te Puke?

The Bay of Plenty region is located approximately two hours south east of Auckland.  Captain James Cook, the 18th Century explorer named this area the 'Bay of Plenty' because of the abundance of resources.  This abundance continues today in the Bay of Plenty region with warm temperatures, spectacular scenery and a flourishing economy.

Why Te Puke?

Te Puke is known as the 'Kiwifruit Capital of the World'.

Te Puke is located in the Western Bay of Plenty region; 10 minutes drive from the coast, 30 kilometres southeast of Tauranga, 60 kilometres northeast from Rotorua and 75 kilometres northwest from Whakatane.  In addition to the kiwifruit industry, Te Puke has many citrus orchards, and a thriving farming sector, based on dairying, cattle, deer and sheep.  The Te Puke region is steeped in Māori and European history.
